Romans 5 Pros Rōmaioin 5

1Dikaiirantois oun ek pistiau eirēnan ⸀echanō pros ton theon dia tou kuriou nu Iēsu Christou,Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2dia hou kai tan prosagōgan echanē ta pistia eis tan charitan houtan en ha stēanē, kai kauchonō epi elpida tau doxau tou theou;through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. 3ouk monem de, alla kai ⸀kauchonō en tai thlipsiai, oidarēntois hoti tas thlipsias hupomonan katergazotō,Not only that, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4tas de hupomonas dokiman, tas de dokimas elpidan.perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5tas de elpidas ouk kataischunatō; hoti tas agapas tou theou ekchotē en tai kardiai nu dia pneumeu hagieu teu dōiranteu ni.And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us.
6⸂Ēti gar⸃ Christos arōntoiu nu asthenoiu ⸀ēti kata kairon huper aseboiu apothnēskata. For at just the right time, while we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7molis gar huper dikaiou tinos apothnēsketi; huper gar tou agathou tacha tinos kai tolmatō apothnēskara;Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. 8sustēatō de tan heautou agapan eis nin tos theos hoti ēti hamartōloiu arōntoiu nu Christos huper nu apothnēskata. But God proves His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9polle oun mallon dikaiirantois nun en te haime autou sōzini dia autou apo tau orgau. Therefore, since we have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from wrath through Him! 10ei gar echthrois arōntois katallaxina to theo dia tou thanatou tou huiou autou, polle mallon katallaxirantois sōzini en ta zōa autou; For if, when we were enemies of God, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life! 11ouk monem de, alla kai kauchorōntois en to theo dia tou kuriou nu Iēsu Christou, dia hou nun tan katallagan labana. Not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.
12Dia houtem hōsper dia henou anthrōpou tas hamartas eis ton kosmon eiserchata kai dia tau hamartau tos thanatos, kai houtōs eis pantoin anthrōpoin tos thanatos dierchata epi he pantois hamartalaTherefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, so also death was passed on to all men, because all sinned. 13achri gar nomou hamartas ate en kosmo, hamartas de ouk ellogotō mē arōntou nomou,For sin was in the world before the law was given; but sin is not taken into account when there is no law. 14alla basilata tos thanatos apo Adam mechris Mōusou kai epi toin mē hamartarantoin epi te homoiōme tau parabasiau Adam, hos atō tupos tou mellarōntou.Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those who did not sin in the way that Adam transgressed. He is a pattern of the One to come.
15Alla ouk hōs tem paraptōmem, houtōs kai tem charismem; ei gar te tou henou paraptōme tois pollois apothnēskala, polle mallon tas charitas tou theou kai tas dōreas en charita ta tou henou anthrōpou Iēsu Christou eis toin polloin perisseuata. But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many! 16kai ouk hōs dia henou hamartarantou tem dōrēmem; tem men gar krimem ek heneu eis katakrimem, tem de charismem ek polleiu paraptōmeiu eis dikaiōmem.Again, the gift is not like the result of the one man’s sin: The judgment that followed one sin brought condemnation, but the gift that followed many trespasses brought justification. 17ei gar te tou henou paraptōme tos thanatos basilata dia tou henou, polle mallon tois tan perisseian tau charitau kai tau dōreau tau dikaiosunau labarōntois en zōa basilali dia tou henou Iēsu Christou. For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!
18Ara oun hōs dia heneu paraptōmeu eis pantoin anthrōpoin eis katakrimem, houtōs kai dia heneu dikaiōmeu eis pantoin anthrōpoin eis dikaiōsian zōau;So then, just as one trespass brought condemnation for all men, so also one act of righteousness brought justification and life for all men. 19hōsper gar dia tau parakoau tou henou anthrōpou hamartōlois katastēila tois pollois, houtōs kai dia tau hupakoau tou henou dikaiois katastēili tois pollois. For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous. 20nomos de pareiserchata hina pleonazateia tem paraptōmem; hou de pleonazata tas hamartas, huperperisseuata tas charitas,The law came in so that the trespass would increase; but where sin increased, grace increased all the more, 21hina hōsper basilata tas hamartas en to thanato, houtōs kai tas charitas basilateia dia dikaiosunau eis zōan aiōnian dia Iēsu Christou tou kuriou nu.so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
