Revelation 13 Apokalupsias Iōannou 13

1Kai horama ek tau thalassau thērem anabainarōntem, echarōntem kerateim deka kai kefalain hepta, kai epi teiu kerateiu auteu deka diadēmeim, kai epi tain kefalain auteu ⸀onomeim blasfēmiau. Then I saw a beast with ten horns and seven heads rising out of the sea. There were ten royal crowns on its horns and blasphemous names on its heads. 2kai tem thērem hem horama ate homoiem pardalia, kai tois podois auteu hōs arkau, kai tem stomem auteu hōs stomem leontou. kai dōata aute tos drakontos tan dunamian auteu kai ton thronon auteu kai exousian megan. The beast I saw was like a leopard, with the feet of a bear and the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority. 3kai henan ek taiu kefalaiu auteu ⸀hōs sfazorēntan eis thanaton, kai tas plēgas tou thanatou auteu therapeuita. kai ⸀thaumazita ⸂holas tas gēas⸃ opisō teu thēreu,One of the heads of the beast appeared to have been mortally wounded. But the mortal wound was healed, and the whole world marveled and followed the beast. 4kai proskunala to drakonto ⸂hoti dōata⸃ tan exousian te thēre, kai proskunala te thēre legarōntois; Tinos homoios te thēre, kai tinos ⸀dunotō polemara meta auteu? They worshiped the dragon who had given authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast, and who can wage war against it?”
5Kai dōita aute stomem lalarōntem megeim kai ⸀blasfēmiain, kai dōita aute ⸀exousias poiara mēnoin ⸀tesserakonta duo.The beast was given a mouth to speak arrogant and blasphemous words, and authority to act for 42 months. 6kai anoigata tem stomem auteu eis ⸀blasfēmiain pros ton theon, blasfēmara tem onomem autou kai tan skēnan autou, toin en to ourano skēnarōntoin. And the beast opened its mouth to speak blasphemies against God and to slander His name and His tabernacle — those who dwell in heaven. 7kai dōita aute poiara polemon meta toiu hagioiu kai nikara autoin, kai dōita aute exousias epi pantan fulan kai laon kai glōssan kai ethnem. Then the beast was permitted to wage war against the saints and to conquer them, and it was given authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation. 8kai proskunali ⸀auton pantois tois katoikarōntois epi tau gēau, ⸀hou ouk grafotē tem onomem ⸀autou en te biblie tau zōau teu arnieu teu sfazorēnteu apo katabolau kosmou. And all who dwell on the earth will worship the beast — all whose names have not been written from the foundation of the world in the Book of Life belonging to the Lamb who was slain.
9Ei tinos echatō ouem akouatar. He who has an ear, let him hear: 10ei tinos ⸂eis aichmalōsian, eis aichmalōsian⸃ hupagatō; ei tinos en machaira ⸀apoktenira auton en machaira apoktenira. hōde atō tas hupomonas kai tas pistias toiu hagioiu.“If anyone is destined for captivity, into captivity he will go; if anyone is to die by the sword, by the sword he must be killed.” Here is a call for the perseverance and faith of the saints.
11Kai horama allosem thērem anabainarōntem ek tau gēau, kai echate kerateim duo homoieim arnie, kai lalate hōs drakontos. Then I saw another beast rising out of the earth. This beast had two horns like a lamb, but spoke like a dragon. 12kai tan exousian teu prōteu thēreu pantan poiatō enōpion auteu. kai ⸀poiatō tan gēan kai toin en auta katoikarōntoin hina ⸀proskunali tem thērem tem prōtem, heu therapeuita tas plēgas tou thanatou auteu. And this beast exercised all the authority of the first beast and caused the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose mortal wound had been healed. 13kai poiatō sēmeim megeim, ⸂hina kai purem poiateiō⸃ ek tou ouranou ⸂katabainarō eis⸃ tan gēan enōpion toiu anthrōpoiu. And the second beast performed great signs, even causing fire from heaven to come down to earth in the presence of the people. 14kai planatō ⸀toin katoikarōntoin epi tau gēau dia teim sēmeim heim dōita aute poiara enōpion teu thēreu, legarōntos toi katoikarōntoi epi tau gēau poiara eikonan te thēre, ⸂hos echatō⸃ tan plēgan ⸂tau machairau kai zōata.⸃Because of the signs it was given to perform on behalf of the first beast, it deceived those who dwell on the earth, telling them to make an image to the beast that had been wounded by the sword and yet had lived. 15kai dōita ⸀aute ⸂dōara pneumem⸃ ta eikona teu thēreu, hina kai lalateia tas eikonas teu thēreu kai poiateia ⸀hina hosois ean mē proskunaleia ta eikona teu thēreu apoktenileia. The second beast was permitted to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship it to be killed. 16kai poiatō pantoin, toin mikroin kai toin megoin, kai toin plousioin kai toin ptōchoin, kai toin eleutheroin kai toin douloin, hina ⸀dōaleia autoi ⸀charagmem epi tau cheirau autoiu tau dexau ē epi tem metōpem autoiu,And the second beast required all people, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, 17kai hina mē tinos ⸀dunoteiō agorazara ē pōlara ei mē tos echarōntos tem charagmem, tem onomem teu thēreu ē ton arithmon teu onomeu auteu.so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark — the name of the beast or the number of its name. 18hōde tas sofias atō; tos echarōntos nouon psēfizatar ton arithmon teu thēreu, arithmos gar anthrōpou atō; kai tos arithmos ⸀auteu ⸂hexakosioi hexēkonta hex.⸃Here is a call for wisdom: Let the one who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and that number is 666.
