1 Corinthians 6 Pros Korinthioin A 6

1Tolmatō tinos vu pragmem echarōntos pros ton heteron krinorō epi toiu adikoiu, kai ouchi epi toiu hagioiu? If any of you has a grievance against another, how dare he go to law before the unrighteous instead of before the saints! 2⸀ē ouk oidavē hoti tois hagiois ton kosmon krinali? kai ei en vi krinotō tos kosmos, anaxiois avō kritērieiu elachisteiu?Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases? 3ouk oidavē hoti angeloin krinani, mētige biōtikeim?Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life! 4biōtikeim men oun kritērieim ean echaveiō, toin exouthenorēntoin en ta ekklēsa, houtoin kathizavō?So if you need to settle everyday matters, do you appoint as judges those of no standing in the church? 5pros entropan vi legamō. houtōs ouk eniatō en vi ⸂oudenos sofos⸃ hos duneti diakrinara ana mesem tou ⸀adelfou autou,I say this to your shame. Is there really no one among you wise enough to arbitrate between his brothers? 6alla adelfos meta adelfou krinotō, kai houtem epi apistoiu?Instead, one brother goes to law against another, and this in front of unbelievers! 7ēdē men ⸀oun holōs hēttēmem vi atō hoti krimeim echavō meta heautoiu; dia tinem ouchi mallon adikovō? dia tinem ouchi mallon aposterovō?The very fact that you have lawsuits among you means that you are thoroughly defeated already. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated? 8alla vis adikavō kai aposteravō, kai ⸀houtem adelfoin.Instead, you yourselves cheat and do wrong, even against your own brothers!
9Ē ouk oidavē hoti adikois ⸂theou basileian⸃ ouk klēronomali? mē planovōr; oute pornois oute eidōlolatrois oute moichois oute malakois oute arsenokoitoisDo you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who submit to or perform homosexual acts, 10oute ⸂kleptois oute pleonektois,⸃ ⸀ouk methusois, ouk loidorois, ouk harpagois basileian ⸀theou klēronomali.nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. 11kai houteim tinois ave; alla apoloueva, alla hagiaziva, alla dikaiiva en te onome tou kuriou ⸀Iēsu kai en te pneume tou theou nu.And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
12Panteim mi exestinatō; alla ouk panteim sumferatō. panteim mi exestinatō; alla ouk mis exousiazimi hupo tineu.“Everything is permissible for me,” but not everything is beneficial. “Everything is permissible for me,” but I will not be mastered by anything. 13teim brōmeim ta koilia, kai tas koilias tei brōmei; tos de theos kai houtan kai houteim katargati. tem de sōmem ouk ta porneia alla to kurio, kai tos kurios te sōme;“Food for the stomach and the stomach for food,” but God will destroy them both. The body is not intended for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. 14tos de theos kai ton kurion egerata kai nin exegerati dia tau dunamiau autou.By His power God raised the Lord from the dead, and He will raise us also. 15ouk oidavē hoti teim sōmeim vu meleim Christou atō? airarantos oun teim meleim tou Christou poiameia pornau meleim? mē genetoia.Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! 16⸀ē ouk oidavē hoti tos kollorōntos ta porna henem sōmem atō? Eli gar, fēatō, tois duo eis sarkan henan.Or don’t you know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.” 17tos de kollorōntos to kurio henem pneumem atō.But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with Him in spirit. 18fugavōr tan porneian; pantem hamartēmem hem ean poiateia anthrōpos ektos teu sōmeu atō, tos de porneuarōntos eis tem idiem sōmem hamartatō.Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a man can commit is outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. 19ē ouk oidavē hoti tem sōmem vu naos teu en vi hagieu pneumeu atō, heu echavō apo theou? kai ouk avō heautoiu,Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20agoraziva gar timau; doxazavar dē ton theon en te sōme ⸀vu.you were bought at a price. Therefore glorify God with your body.
